			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The New York Carolina Club <strong>Annual Alumni Sunset Cruise</strong> will be held <strong>Thursday, June 24,</strong> at <strong>7 p.m.</strong> The cruise will set sail at <strong>7:30 p.m.</strong> and return at <strong>9:30 p.m.</strong> Please ensure that you arrive on time.</p>
<p>We have reserved a double-decker boat with an open bar and three bartenders serving unlimited wine, beer and soda. During cocktails, we will have views of the Statue of Liberty, the lower Manhattan skyline and the bridges of the East River.</p>
<p>Departure will be from Pier 84, located next to the Intrepid Museum on 12th Avenue and West 44th Street. Please look for signs to locate check-in for the cruise. Please bring a copy of the e-mail confirmation you receive after you register to serve as your &#8220;ticket&#8221; to board.</p>

Jenrette &#8216;51</strong> at the historic George F. Baker House. Also attending will be Doug Dibbert, President of the UNC General Alumni Association and Buck Goldstein, University Entrepreneur in Residence and Senior Lecturer in Economics, who will introduce Chancellor Thorp.</p>
<p>Cost: <strong>$55 </strong>per person; <strong>$35</strong> per GAA member. Graduates from the classes of 2000-2009: <strong>$40</strong> per person; <strong>$25</strong> per GAA member.</p>
<p>All net proceeds will benefit the <strong>Richard H. Jenrette/New York Carolina Club Scholarship Fund</strong>.</p>

They work with 1,000 non-profit organizations and public schools throughout the five boroughs, providing critical volunteer service that touched the lives of 450,000 disadvantaged <span class="il">New</span> Yorkers last year. <span class="il">New</span><span class="il">York</span> Cares Day is more than <span class="il">New</span> <span class="il">York</span> City’s largest day of service – it’s also an important fundraiser for <span class="il">New</span> <span class="il">York</span> Cares. Just like a walk-a-thon, the money you raise in support of your service will keep volunteer project going all year long. Our goal is to have 35 volunteers and to raise $100 per volunteer.<br />
